  1. Microsoft Video version 1.1d for Windows. 
  2. This maintenance release provides the 
  3. following improvements and corrections
  4. to the previous version, 1.1a:
  5.  - Improved palette support. The new release
  6.    of MSVIDEO.DLL and the Cinepak and Indeo
  7.    codecs prevent Video for Windows from
  8.    having to dither 24-bit videos twice 
  9.    during playback.
  10.  - Display Control Interface (DCI) support.
  11.    DCI allows Video for Windows to provide
  12.    faster and smoother playback on video 
  13.    cards that use the S3, Cirrus Logic, or
  14.    any one of several other chip sets.
  15.    Video for Windows now also supports all
  16.    DCI-enabled video cards. Furthermore, the
  17.    performance of stretched and clipped 
  18.    videos is much improved for all video
  19.    cards.
  20.  - Better overall performance.
